Grace Moloney
Staff Therapist, LSW

Grace Moloney is an advanced standing clinical social work intern at Ascend. She received her Master’s of Social Work at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign on the advanced standing track, with a clinical concentration and a focus area in mental health. Grace graduated with a bachelor’s degree in social work and a minor in psychology from the University of Kansas in 2022.  

During her undergraduate internship, Grace worked with children who struggle with anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation in an elementary school setting. At the University of Illinois, she worked on a grant where she helped plan and implement social-emotional learning activities in an after-school program for middle school students. Grace has an interest in working with adolescent and young adult clients. she aims to take a person-centered, strengths-based approach when working with clients, and she also utilizes DBT, CBT, and psychodynamic theory in her practice.
