Bulimia Nervosa

Individuals with Bulimia Nervosa (BN) commonly experience episodes of eating large amounts of food in a discrete period of time. This eating experience may be followed by feelings of loss of control, emotional upset, and guilt. Use of compensatory behaviors follows the binge episode and may be characterized by use of laxatives, diuretics, self-induced vomiting, exercise, or periods of fasting. ASCEND provides treatment for BN resulting in both symptom relief and improved mood and confidence.
