Components of Treatment May Include:

Body Image Support — There are strategies for stepping away from incessant self-deprecation. Body image support work relieves negative thoughts, shifts negative body related experience, and restores a positive sense of yourself and your body.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) — DBT training supports improved mood and behavior regulation. DBT modules are individually introduced and overtime, interface to build a network of skills and abilities needed for safe and effective self-regulation.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) — CBT is built on the premise that thoughts, behavior, and mood are closely related and inter-related. CBT skills can benefit mood and restore confidence.

Interpersonal Communications (IC) — IC skills support interpersonal connection, understanding and respect which facilitates emotional resilience. IC skills help individuals communicate and experience deeper interpersonal connection.

Mindfulness Training — Mindfulness is the ability to be present and aware of oneself and one’s surroundings in any moment. Mindfulness Training will improve one’s learning capacity and improve self-control.

Narrative Therapy (NT) —
NT is a kind of psychotherapy that first investigates one’s history in order to more clearly identify personal skills, values, experience, and knowledge and then applies this new information in drafting a new narrative about themselves, their life, and their future. Individuals who participate in NT feel both empowered and hopeful.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) — ACT is predicated on the notion that experiencing some emotional upset or pain is a normal and an expected experience for all human beings. As such, one need not expect to eliminate pain or continually fight your experience of pain. The premise of ACT indicates that depression, anger, and anxiety does not need to overpower or control your life. Uncomfortable emotions can be managed and overcome by orienting recovery to acceptance and deliberate choices to live life according to what you most value. Find your way to a life that feels more joyful and more rewarding.

Experiential Therapy (ET) — ET include a wide variety of therapeutic experiences that benefit emotional health. These include; music therapy, art therapy, horticulture therapy, dance therapy, yoga, Tai Chi, and our favorite, puppy therapy. Directives and activities are carefully selected to match individual interests and needs. Connecting with the activity, experience and/or related materials brings learning, joy and new awareness.
